The Schlosshotel has had new owners since May 2021 and is run as a family business. We made our first experiences in the hotel industry 10 years ago. We ran a hotel restaurant in Visp for 3 years. A few years later we became the proud parents of 2 children. The desire to own a small, charming hotel never faded over the years. One day, the Furrer Andreas family gave us the opportunity to purchase the castle hotel.

The history of the castle hotel
The history of the Self Check-In Hotel am Schlosspark in Brig begins in the mid-1970s. At the place where the legendary “Hammerschmitta” – an old forge – used to stand, a consortium was planning to build a residential building. The project went bankrupt before construction began. In 1974, the well-known Valais hotelier and ski acrobat Art Furrer bought and built the Schlosshotel Garni, which opened in 1976. From then on, the hotel was run by Art Furrer. In 2015, his son Andreas Furrer bought the hotel and turned it into a self-check-in hotel. In May 2021 he sold the Schlosshotel to the Zenklusen family.
