Information about the hotel

Bike garage
You have a bicycle garage including free electricity to charge your e-bikes. A specialist workshop for major damage is in the immediate vicinity and can be reached by us.

Breakfast
Our breakfast buffet is ready for you as follows:
Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m
Saturday and Sunday 7:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m

Breakfast/lounge
In the lounge, which was completely redesigned in autumn 2019, you have a microwave and a coffee machine at your disposal. You are welcome to help yourself here. Prepare your own snack and enjoy it in our beautiful, secluded garden.

Check in from 2 p.m
On the right at the entrance is our “Self Check-In” machine with which you can check in and pay and then also receive your room card. If you would prefer to pay in cash, please let us know so that we can activate your bill and you can only obtain the key card from the machine. You can then settle your bill at reception the next morning or during your stay.

Check out
For organizational reasons, we ask our guests to pay for the room on the evening before their departure, if possible. Thank you very much! Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. There is a basket at the reception. You can put your room card in there when you leave the hotel.

Coffee machine
There is a capsule coffee machine in every room.

Cot
We are happy to provide cots free of charge.

Dinner
You can also have dinner at if you book in advance.

Dogs
Dogs are always welcome with us. We ask you to take care of your loved ones so that the other hotel guests are not disturbed. Pets are not allowed to enter the breakfast room. The price per dog and night is CHF 10.00.

Emergencies
Please call the reception immediately or alert the emergency services directly via the “Emergency” button on your room telephone!

Fans
If it is exceptionally hot, you can take the fans out of the closet and place them in front of the open window. So you can cool your room. Please do not leave the window open and leave the light on at the same time! This could attract pesky insects.

Fire
The castle hotel is equipped with an automatic fire alarm system. Please note the respective escape routes, which are published on the inside of the room door.

Food/drinks vending machine
There is a vending machine at the reception where you can buy snacks with small change.

Free electric filling station
Since December 2017, a free electric charging station has been available to all hotel guests in front of the hotel entrance. If you would like to use these, please contact us before your arrival.

Front desk
Since we are a self-check-in hotel, we generally do not serve you at the reception. However, we can be reached by phone 24 hours a day and will be happy to help you with your questions.

Garden
Our cozy garden is open to you 24 hours a day. You are very welcome to use this at any time. In the evening, treat yourself to a beer in our garden near the imposing Stockalper Palace.

Hotel door
The front door can be opened with your electronic room card.

All important information can be found on our information board at the reception. If you cannot find the answer to your questions here, you can call us on 0041 79 289 85 41.

Laundry
For a fee of CHF 20.00 per wash, you can have your dirty clothes washed and ironed by us. Please report this to the reception.

Means of payment
In addition to cash (Swiss francs and euros), we accept the following cards: VISA, Mastercard, Maestro, Postcard, American Express and Twint. If the money is not enough, we always have enough work to do in the laundry, in the dishes or in the garden… 😊

Parking spaces
Our hotel has limited in-house free parking spaces, which are located behind and next to the hotel and are marked. A fee-based underground car park of the municipality of Brig-Glis, with very moderate fees, is located in the immediate vicinity of the Self Check-In Hotel am Schloss.

Position
Our castle hotel is located directly at the beautiful castle park of the venerable Stockalperpalast. Tip: When you arrive in Brig, follow the sign “Parkhaus Altstadt”! This is the quickest way to find our Self Check-In Hotel am Schloss.

Refrigerator
Each room has a refrigerator.

Safe
There is a safe in every room where you can deposit your valuables.

Smoking
Smoking is strictly prohibited indoors. In the event of violations, we reserve the right to charge a fee for cleaning. You can smoke on the small balconies at the end of the hallways on each floor as well as in our garden or on the balcony of your room.

Water heater
In each room there is a kettle and a small selection of tea and coffee, which is available to you free of charge.

Wifi/internet
The hotel is equipped with a wireless Internet hotspot. You will find the instructions in the guest folder and posted at the reception. The signal can be received free of charge in all rooms. The network was updated in winter 2021.
